Judith Harvey
was born and raised in Montreal. She began her artistic career at the
age of 14 whereby she was commissioned to paint the wooden washroom
doors of the local campsite in bright OP ART motifs. In lieu of payment,
she was offered free burgers and fries from the snack bar for the entire
summer. At the time, it seemed a really good deal!
Judith
continued to pursue her love of art and took art history and fine art
courses at University of Toronto (BA), Dawson College and the Saidye
Bronfman Centre. Although she continues to expand and experiment with
new approaches, she hopes to convey a sense of tranquility and
simplicity, using a minimalistic approach to theme, colour and form.
