At the edge of a lake…that’s where it all started. My love for nature was expressed there and since then it inspires me, stimulates me and guides me in my creation. I no longer seek to reproduce reality but to translate it into rich and vibrant touches; I now see shadows and lights, and become passionate about the play of colors of an inexhaustible nature of subjects: animals, mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, all pretexts to the caresses of that which constantly renews nature: Light…
The artist has an impressive career. In 2000, she participated in the Grand Concours du Cercle des Artistes Peintres et Sculpteurs du Québec, where she won a prize in the “Figurative Reality” category. Two solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions followed. Then in 2006 and 2007, she won several prizes at Expo-Concours, in Mascouche, Valleyfield, and La Prairie. She paints with acrylic in the studio and sometimes with oil (on the motif) (on the pattern.) Several of her works are part of private collections in Quebec, Canada and the United States. She is one of the permanent artists at the Le Balcon D’Art Gallery in St-Lambert.
The artist will come to share with us the approach she uses during the creation of her works, on November 20 after the meeting of the Artists Hudson Artistes association at the Stephen F. Shaar Center, 394 Main Street, Hudson. Free for members.
