Born in Montreal, Quebec to a Fashion Design Graduate, I was nutured and inspired by my creative relatives. My Grandmother was a Silversmith and Photographer. My ancestral Uncle, Antoine Plamondon was an artist. My ancestral, Grandfather Joseph Comingo was our first born artist in Canada.
My professional career years in the Fashion Industry included Art Direction, creation and design doing massive installations in both Window Design, Merchandising and Graphic Design. I was the Executive Marketing Director, Merchandising and Store Design for Fashion Chain stores worldwide, Fairweather, Le Chateau and Shirmax. I also consulted for Les Ailes, Club Monaco and Wet Seal.
After travelling all over the world, I settled in Hudson, Quebec to start a family. I opened my business Facade, a fashion destination for women of all ages. Through Facade, my passion for jewellery ignited, and I developed my jewellery business with two lines in Italy and Bankok. I also took on Pandora and spread that line across Canada. After successfully running Facade for 23 years, I retired and sold the property during our Covid crisis.
Five years ago I fullfilled a long time dream of buying a second home in Nova Scotia. This has brought me even closer to my ancestry. My time to express my creativity through my art has arrived. Nurtured through travelling, my colorful creative ancestors and all of my lifelong creative endevors have energized me to explore that art that was waiting within. My ancestry is always there, Metis, French, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, as well as Mi ‘k Maw and Algonquin. They speak to me through my conciousness and my art.
I work mostly in acrylic and oil on canvas and board. The colors I use are mostly vibrant and my style is consistant in each subject. My goal is to continue making great art that I love. I am always original and uncomplicated with a natural twist.
