Born in England, I emigrated to Montreal in 1970. I did not think I had an artistic bone in my body, even though my father dabbled in art all his life. Twenty years ago, I was given, as family gifts, a small carving knife, a few instructional books and painting lessons. From there, my slow and long journey began of creating images in wood and on canvas. During these creative moments, time stands still. I have tried different mediums, but oils remain my favourite. I am also still passionate about wood carving.
