Oil painting is my way to contemplate the beauty of nature. I am touched by scenes of sky, water, valleys and mountains, especially in Québec. After 25 years of full-time university teaching, I gradually became a landscape oil painter when I retired. I am indebted to my art mentors: Gisèle Lapalme and Nathalie Frenière. I have exhibited at the bi-annual AHA exhibits in Hudson, St. Lazare annual exhibits, le Chenail Cultural Centre, Vankleek Hill Art Centre and the Vaudreuil Museum. I am inspired by the works of the Canadian Group of Seven, and the Nordic and French Impressionists.
