Why is art so powerful and so meaningful to me ?
In my childhood, a fascination for matter came when playing in the dirt and discovering its different layers and forming objects with clay. And then came the colors. In the 60’s, I received a set of 60 Prismacolor’s crayons. That was it. I was hooked and fascinated by the endless possibilities of colors.
Colors, forms, textures, and combinations of them are part of the tools and vocabulary that I use to express my inner self.
Starting with a dot, a splash, or an idea, I create a “something” that for me has resonance, that has a vibration. This is a challenge and is a means to satisfy a need.
A feeling of accomplishment and a realization of being part of this creative process are the outcomes of this journey with art.
