Passionate about the arts, I decided in 1997 to take an interest in them in a more concrete way with training in drawing, painting and sculpture at the Saidye Bronfman Arts Center then in 2004 as part of a certificate in plastic arts at UQAM . Throughout the winter seasons, I continue my studies in the Minor in Art History program at UQAM. I favor acrylic painting and sculpture in stone or wood. I sometimes go and paint oil pochades in situ in the open air. The majority of my works are made in the studio. I continue to constantly improve my approach through my personal experiences or with professional painters. I move from brush to spatula in a play of colors on the surface of the canvas. I draw inspiration from my observations, my sketches, or my photographs. My presence at the places of my subjects is at the origin of my compositions. My paintings represent the expression of my desire to share with the observer the places I frequent. My work is inspired by forest excursions (hiking, fishing and kayaking). For me the creative process is above all a solitary act. My approach is part of a process from the field, from the emotion felt at the moment to the production of the work.
