I mainly paint with acrylics, sometimes on very large formats, up to 180 cm by 180 cm. I also work in collage and mixed media.

The brain’s ability to see ‘the shape next to it,’ to perceive the ‘background shape,’ as much as the figurative shape or object in the foreground, draws us into a world of infinite images and forms. Collage is a phenomenal tool in this respect, since it allows us to use form without having painted it, by cutting it out… The practice and art of collage have been exploited, for various purposes, by numerous artistic movements: Cubism, Dadaism, Surrealism…”

Collage is about creating shapes instantly! Painting is another way of gluing, gluing imagined shapes while working within a sophisticated palette of bold colors and “colored grays,” never using black. This approach is similar to collage through the creation of shapes and the interplay of glazes or opacities of warm and cool colors, making the eye vibrate.
